Hi, we are Totelos N7, a team of 8 enthusiastic gentlemen who are all playing games in the NZVB for the first time this academic year. Our team consists of our goalkeeper, Shreyansh, or our Shrey, and our 7 gentlemen, Niels, Daniel, Tom, Kez, Boaz, Max and Koen. Last of the line, Koen is our captain, aka doormat. We'll spare you the details of how this came about, but that doesn't stop us from laughing hard about it.
Our team has only been together since this academic year. That means we still have a lot to learn in the room. Individually, we all have plenty of qualities. Of our 8 players, almost all of us have played soccer on the field for a number of years, from IJmuiden to Valkenswaard, to our goalkeeper Shrey who was on the field in India. This is just a bit different from the tactics in the hall, which we are working hard to improve.
So this season we are doing well, winning 8 out of 9 games. For a first year in the hall we are very proud of that, but of course we see that we can improve and grow as a team.
Off the field, the 8 of us also have fun, of course. After every game we play we often have a beer with a large part of the team, either on the stands or in the canteen of the hall where we played. There are also plans to organize another important activity this year: our own N7 weekend, where we go away for a weekend together. Where and when that will be we have yet to find out, but whether we are looking forward to it is not a question for any of us!
